LBPS Teaching Events 2017

In a break from the traditional annual teaching weekend, the Society will next year be offering a number of teaching days and weekends in various locales, on specific topics. Details and booking will be available in the New Year, but here is advance notice of the first two:

Pibroch Teaching Event

with Allan Macdonald and Barnaby Brown
Wooley High Hall, Allendale NE47 9AH
7th-8th April, 2017 (to be confirmed)
Following on from the enthusiastic reception for the presentations these two leading authorities gave at this year's Collogue, we have invited them to host a two-day teaching event to explore Coel Mor (and a little Ceol Beg) on smallpipes.
Dates are provisional but will be confirmed in the New Year.

Border Piping Teaching Day

with Chris Ormston and Matt Seattle
Gordon Arms, Yarrow Valley, Selkirk TD7 5LE
Sat 20th May, 2017
Another spin-off from this year's Collogue, Chris and Matt will explore Border pipe tunes and techniques, suitable for players of both Border pipes and Scottish smallpipes.
