A Night for Jeannie

The College of Piping is planning a ‘Night for Jeannie’ to mark her getting the MBE. A small tribute concert/show is planned for Friday, October 2 evening which will feature Jeannie’s bagpipe interests, both highland and border. Allan MacDonald and Hamish Moore will be among those playing. All welcome.

Obviously, the venue is the College, 16 Ortago Street, Glasgow

Local Groups for Bellows Pipers

The growing numbers of pipers playing bellows pipes across the UK and beyond has resulted in a renewed interest in the idea of the formation of local groups to meet together for playing, sharing experience and general encouragement.

ANNUAL COLLOGUE & AGM 2015

Friday 6th – Sunday 8th November 2015

This year we are returning to the Tontine Hotel, Peebles


The weekend's programme will include

 Welcome Dinner on the Friday night (3 course)

  • Speakers & various workshops during Saturday
  • (including workshops for beginners & absolute beginners)

  • Concert in The Eastgate Arts Centre on the Saturday evening.

  • More workshops on Sunday morning.

 It’ll be a great weekend, not be missed!

Annual Collogue 2012 Videos

This year's Collogue gathering in Edinburgh proved to be a memorable one. The morning's talks by Will Lamb, Mike Katz and David Taylor were stimulating and entertaining; a full report will be included in the December issue of Common Stock. The afternoon's entertainment consisted of performances on pipes and fiddle by a remarkable line-up of players assembled by Hamish Moore.
