Hi Folks
A nice quick question for you. I'm looking to provide the information to help a friend of a friend tweak the search facility on the website folktunefinder.com. The Planned tweak will make it possible to search the data base for tunes that fit the scale as played on a smallpipe in A and D and a borderpipe in A. This will hopefully provide an even more user friendly (free) resource for bellows pipe players to dig out new tunes. What I can't remember is what the pitch of the respective mixolydian scale is and I don't want to mess the whole process up!
Am I right in thinking that the A border pipe pitches at A = 440Hz as equivilent with the first A above middle C on a piano?
That the root A of a smallpipe in A is that immediately below middle C?
That the root D of a smallpipe in D is that immediately below middle C?
Just to make sure were are all on the same page this is the system being used for reference.

Many thanks in anticipation
