Border pipers fail to appear at Morpeth competition

In the article announcing the Morpeht Gathering on this site, we wrote

"The Morpeth Gathering includes a border pipe class in its annual competition. There were no entries last year and this competition, a unique opportunity to put the music of the border pipes before a more general public, will be lost if this event is not better supported this year."

It looks like this may be the end for this competition ...
